Collecting with Confidence
Blending old and new world traditions, San Francisco-based artist Ann Rea paints colors inspired by sunlight. With the direct mentorship she received from contemporary painter, and American Art icon, Wayne Thiebaud, she paints in the timeless tradition of the French Impressionists. Rea actually paints oil studies in the vineyards. Then she returns to her Pacific beach studio to create larger interpretations on commissioned canvases.
"We are so happy. Although we knew Robert Rauschenberg (American art Legacy) and
know some other contemporary artists, we have only collected their prior works of art.
This commission been special in many ways." - Mrs. Sandi Moran (art patron & president of the Naples, Florida Chaine des Rotisseurs, founded in Paris in 1248.
"It's one thing to acquire an original oil painting from an art gallery, where you'll most likely never meet the artist. It's another thing to experience your painting on so many different levels, to actually walk through and have a memory of, the environment that inspired your painting and to really get to know the creators, the artist and the winemaker.
This is an exclusive experience that is interactive, customized, personal, meaningful, and most definitely memorable. But it is limited, I can only accept and complete a limited number of commissions each year, in my lifetime. So it has to be the right fit. - Ann Rea (San Francisco based artist and CEO of Ann Rea, Inc.)
